What sells here

Everything in one place, not five groups.

Why not Facebook Marketplace

Three things a group chat cannot do.

Your locality comes first

Pick Msida and you see Msida, then the localities that touch it, then the rest of the island. Gozo works the same way.

  • Msida, Malta· your locality
  • Gżira, Malta· next door
  • Ta' Xbiex, Malta· next door
  • Pietà, Malta· next door
  • … then the rest of Malta

A price on every listing

No “PM for price”. You know before you write, and the seller knows you have seen it.

  • Example listing: Oak dining table with six chairs

    €1,250

Oak dining table with six chairs

    Msida, Malta

  • Example listing: Garden chairs, set of four

    €15

    Garden chairs, set of four

    Mosta, Malta

How it works

Sell something in three steps.

Most of it is taking the photos. We suggest the category from them; you only confirm it.

Moving out? People move. Furniture stays.

  1. Take the photos

Up to ten. Only the photos you add leave your phone.

  2. Add a title and a price

The category is suggested from your photos — you confirm it.

  3. Publish

A quick check, then it is up for 60 days.

Buy something in four steps.

Every listing has its own chat. Offers live in it, so nothing gets lost between messages.

  1. Find it near you

Nearest first, a price on every one.

  2. Make an offer

It stays open for 48 hours.

  3. Agree in the chat

Counter, accept, or say no thanks.

  4. Meet and hand it over

    In person, where people are.

Questions

What people ask first.

Does Maltayard take payment?

No. Money never moves through the app. You pay the seller when you meet.

Who sees my phone number?

Nobody, unless you share it yourself in a chat.

Is Gozo included?

Yes — all 14 Gozo localities, from Victoria to Xagħra.

When does it come out?

Soon. Leave your email and we will tell you the day it is in the stores.

What can't I sell?

Ten things, including weapons, medicines, live animals and counterfeits.

Where should we meet?

Somewhere with people around, while it is light: a café or a busy square. Tell someone where you are going; the app reminds you before you meet.

How do I get the item?

You meet the seller and hand it over in person. Maltayard never ships anything.

How do reviews work?

Only after a real sale. Neither of you sees the other’s review until both have written one, or 12 days have passed.

Can a business sell here?

For now Maltayard is for people selling their own things.

Who runs Maltayard?

It is built for Malta. Our details are at the bottom of this page.

What happens to my email?

We use it once, to tell you the app is out, then delete it. We do not sell it or use it for advertising.

What if something goes wrong?

Report it from the chat or the profile. A person on our team reads it and tells you what we did.

Be there on day one.

Leave your email and we will tell you the day Maltayard is in the stores. Nothing else.
